微尺度多相流問題範圍廣泛、形态多樣,針對液膜、液絲、液滴、顆粒等微尺度流體的典型表現形式開展相關基礎研究,以直接數值模拟、高速顯微攝影和理論量化分析相結合的研究方法,瞄準界面演變規律與流固耦合效應,在以下三個方向開展工作:
1、液膜形态演變及其微觀失穩機制;
2、微液滴生成機理與相互作用規律;
3、微尺度輸運特征及流固耦合效應。
将拓撲學理論應用于自适應網格加密,提高了液膜厚度變化較大的多相界面流動問題的計算效率和精度,應用于液體火箭發動機霧化中的液膜時空演變與失穩機制研究,方法和成果在航天推進、汽車噴漆、呼吸給藥上得到應用;設計制造了具有圓截面通道的微流控芯片,揭示了液滴生成過程中的兩種毛細不穩定性機理,并發展持續流動方法證實了機理的普适性;研究多個液滴相互作用情景中的微尺度界面流動現象,建立了反映流動模式和産物形态的理論模型;針對微尺度輸運開展研究,采用多種數值方法量化了微粒的受力,闡明了多個慣性遷移規律和流固耦合效應,方法和成果已應用于反應堆安全評估和骨科臨床治療。研究成果得到了國内外專家學者的積極評價、廣泛引用和多方運用,已有成果和後續研究将繼續在航空航天推進、微流控技術、生物醫學工程等領域發揮重要價值。
